The Vogueaholic Vasudha

This interview is about a fashion blogger and a consultant at who is also pursuing her English Honours from Jesus and Mary College, named Vasudha. She is a very passionate and a dedicated person. Ever since I was in the 10th grade my relatives used to say, “Vasudha not only works hard but she works smart” and that’s how my motivation level hits a perfect 100, says she.

1) How did you get into this field?
It’s currently the 6th month of my blogging experience and I am really enjoying it. I have attended many fashion shows in the past and looking at all the other fashion bloggers and the glitterati on the social media platforms inspires me a little too much. I have now decided to make this big and I hope my viewers manage to help me attain that level of success that I always dreamt of.

2) According to you, what are the best fashion trends that you like to carry? Also, as you’re a blogger, do you also create your own trend and style? If yes, what are they?
According to me the best fashion trend is to wear something that suit’s you best and to stay comfortable as ever. Be it a party , day out or an evening dinner date , simplicity is always given preference.
I don’t really ‘create’ my own trends but what I often do is experiment with different looks.

3) What’s the story behind your blog’s title?
It took me days pondering over a name for my blog’s link but then me and a friend of mine brainstormed a lot and ended up with the word ‘ Vogue ‘ and later came ‘ Holic ‘ just to make it sound different and nice.
TheVogueaholic , refers to a person who is oh-so crazy about the latest fashion trends (vogue) and takes it too seriously to work upon , which is completely me.

4) How would you describe your style?
Style is something that always makes up my mood. I believe in mixing different themes to generate a unique style because experimenting is the best part about fashion and styling.
All I want to say is ” never limit yourself because style is about developing the new  you and your lifestyle.

5) Who inspires your wardrobe and why?
My wardrobe is inspired by my Aunt , who lives in the United Kingdom. Just like her , my style statement also includes wearing short dresses and fancy accessories. Moreover , UK fashion has always been a go-to for me.

6) What are the best aspects of running your own blog? What are the hardest aspects?
Running a blog is so much fun but it is not as easy as it seems. Just like everything has minor or major issues even blogging does.
One of the best aspect is that you attain a very different identity as a blogger in between the common’s. Also , it is an amazing platform to reach out to millions of people of the same interests.
The bad part includes the struggle that you go through in the start and when you have to keep up with the content that people would prefer reading.

7) What are your favourite places to shop?
There is not a single place that I shop from but my favourite shopping complexes include –
Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar and
Select City Walk, Saket.
Also , you would find a lot of Zara , Forever New , Forever 21 and Vero Moda in my wardrobe.

8) What trend form the past would you like to a make comeback?
There’s this theme – Hippie (from the subculture) that I have always been facinated with and I guess that’s because they have gained widespread acceptance with their funky outifits and the Bohemian Vibes that are awakened with the people’s attitude.

9) Who are your favourite designers?
Anita Dongre
Manish Malhotra
Donna Karan

10) What do you do when you’re not blogging?
When I am not blogging , I am either busy with friends over call or I might be eating because I’m a big time foodie.
I even take out time for physical activities to remain fit so I hit the college and play a game of Basketball with my friends.

A perfect outfit for the day , wear it for a lunch date or a classy outing with friends.
I preferred wearing a maxi because it’s comfortable and makes me look tall and slim. Also , the Aztec Prints of this dress are sure to turn some heads.
