FC Barcelona Wins Another La Liga

FC Barcelona wins the second trophy in a row to add the tally of 24 La Liga. 5th of May, 2016 was the last day which was the La Liga decider where second on the table Real Madrid faced off Deportivo and Barcelona faced of Granada. The only thing that can help Real win was either Barca would’ve lost or drawn with the side but they eventually won 3-0 with Luis Suarez scoring a hat-trick and becoming top scorer at the end with 40 goals and also winning Pichichi Award. Real Madrid also won their respective game against Deportivo 2-0 with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a brace. FC Barcelona won the tally with 91 points whereas Real Madrid only had one less than 90. But, Top 3 teams, Finalist of this year Atletico and Real Madrid and FC Barcelona has secured their berth in UEFA Champions League with UEFA Europa League Semi-Finalist Villarreal will be in the Qualifier.


Apart from the team stats, individual stats were also in the name of the winner with Luis Suarez at the top in Goal scoring with 40 goals followed by Ronaldo at 35 and Lionel Messi at 26 goals. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez also acquired assist table with being on No. 1 and 2 position with 16 assists each followed by Atletico Madrid’s Midfielder Koke with 14. At the last comes Fair Play here also FC Barcelona tops from the bottom at 20th position with 69 points while Levante sitting on the top with 147 points. FC Barcelona also managed 23 Games unbeaten streak with winning streak of 12.

The credit of this year’s La Liga goes directly to the team of Messi, Suarez and Neymar which is widely known as MSN who managed to score 90 goals and 44 assists in 102 appearances they were in the fight against BBC of Real Madrid which was made of Bale, Benzema, and Cristiano who managed to score 78 goals, 28 assists in 86 appearances. Whereas in all competitions, MSN managed 130 goals and 63 assists in 147 appearances whereas BBC managed to score 98 goals and 33 assists in 112 appearances.

It is the 2nd trophy for Luis Enrique in his second season as the manager where Zinedine Zidane also wins respect for taking Real Madrid from nowhere to the top of the table after acquiring mid-season  from former Real Madrid and  Newcastle United Manager Rafa Benitez.
