??Ca??t Think A Life Without CameraCanonicious

My mom used to tell me the story behind each picture and we used to laugh about it. After finishing my graduation I had this urge of travelling and meeting new people which led me to photography because I wanted to keep a memory with me every time and everyplace I visited. Photography and travelling to me is what food and air is to you. I can’t even think a life without my Camera.

When I was a kid I used to see my parents clicking picture of me and making videos of me. Now when I see those pictures I go back to my childhood and relive those moments again.

She has renamed herself as Wanderlust and her instagram name is Canonicious as she simply loves her camera and more so photography.

Moving on to the questions we asked her:

What do you think makes a memorable photograph?

According to me a photograph says “seize the moment”. Photographs are the way you look back at your past and see what you are and what you used to be. It’s said that nothing remains forever but a memory which you can capture in a picture remains forever. A memorable photograph is a picture which can remind you of those beautiful moments you lived, loved, laughed about and miss. A picture which tells the tale or a story itself and displays the emotions attached to it.

How does black and white vs. colour play into your work? Do you find them to be totally separate beasts – or complementary?

As it’s said, “Color is everything, black and white is more”.  Color vs black and white are complementary to each other for me. When a colored picture catches the eye and soothes, the black and white pictures are timeless and touches the soul. Black and white pictures enhance the subject and the emotions come out to be raw however, colored pictures a treat to the eyes and heart.

What motivates you to continue taking pictures economically, politically, intellectually or emotionally?

Emotionally! I love to capture anything and everything for that matter. People, places, streets, mountains, sky anything that makes me happy. However, I am a big fan of historical monuments as they have a story of their own to tell. The love, the rage, the war, the remains, and the memories I could live that on my own while clicking the pictures. I actually get into that era and feel like one of them.  (Laughs)

What gear/technology/equipment do you use?

I am currently using Canon 600 D with kit lens 18-55 mm , 50mm lens and 75-300 mm zoom lens.

Exactly what it is you want to say with your photographs, and how do you actually get your photographs to do that?

I love to travel to places where normally people don’t visit. Through my pictures I want to show the world the unseen part of India or for that matter any other places in the world. Wanderlust is what I am and will always be and will keep telling you the stories of different monuments and cultures via my pictures
